The Elko New Market Chamber of Commerce and the City of Elko New Market welcomed two new businesses to Main Street in downtown New Market on Thursday, February 8. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held at Aspen in Summer Decor and Farmers Insurance. Both are owned by local residents who love the community and have invested themselves and their businesses here.
Aspen in Summer Decor is owned by Aspen Arbuckle, who began crafting two-and-a-half years ago, when she undertook the construction of a 9-foot dining room table from rustic boards. Aspen, who’s always been “crafty,” took a break for a few months before creating home decor items on nights and weekends while working in the dental industry. In 2017, she decided to pursue her passion full-time, quitting her job and buying the building downtown. Her products include rustic signs, benches, trays, tables, blanket ladders; handmade crocheted items and greeting cards; decorative pillows; pet treats and more. She also sells fresh flowers and takes custom orders.
After extensive renovations to the old daycare building on the east side of downtown New Market, Tim Sadusky is thrilled to open the Farmers Insurance – Tim Sadusky Agency. An Elko New Market resident for many years, Tim, his wife Connie and their two kids have been active in Boy Scouts, the Church of St. Nicholas and the Chamber of Commerce. He has more than 20 years of experience as an insurance agent. He and his growing staff look forward to assisting residents with their insurance needs.
