Build stronger connections with fellow Chamber members, other business people and representatives of the local government by volunteering on a Chamber committee.  We are seeking volunteers to serve on the following committees:

Event Committee – This committee helps businesses operate businesses more effectively and gain visibility by coordinating Lunch & Learn workshops, hosting networking events and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Contact: Kate Timmerman at [email protected]

Point of Impact Teen Driving Event – The Point of Impact event attracts teens and their parents for an educational presentation developed by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety to reduce teen driving accidents and fatalities. The ENM Chamber of Commerce organizes the event and the police department leads the presentation. Contact: Dawn Weitzel at [email protected].

Golf Tournament – Held in conjunction with the community’s Fire-Rescue Days in June, the ENM Community Golf Tournament is one of the marquis events the Chamber hosts each year. Help is needed with general event planning and logistics, marketing to both golfers and sponsors, and gathering raffle prizes and giveaways. Contact: Josh Malwitz at [email protected].

State of the City Address – Every year, the Chamber welcomes City of Elko New Market officials to present on City affairs, economic development efforts and current priorities. To help coordinate logistics and marketing of the event, contact: Gordon Deuel at elkonewmarketchurch.com.

Ladies Night Out – Help the Chamber host the ever-popular Ladies Night Out, when ladies shop, eat and drink their away around town before gathering for the prize drawings at the end of the night. The committee needs help to recruit and coordinate participating vendors, collecting items for prize drawings, and marketing to the community. Contact: Kate Timmerman at [email protected].

Christmas Tree Lighting Festival – Help Elko New Market families kick-off the holiday season with their neighbors at the lighting of the community Christmas tree in December. Help is needed to plan and set up the event, recruit carolers, and market the event. Contact: Kate Timmerman at [email protected].
