Build stronger connections with fellow Chamber members, other business people and representatives of the local government by volunteering on a Chamber committee.  We are seeking volunteers to serve on the following committees:

Community Marketing – Help produce quarterly shop local flyers, and materials to market the community to new residents, realtors and local businesses recruiting prospective employees to the area. Contact: Brian Hong at brian@copyrightprinting.com.

Networking Committee – This committee plans and hosts Morning Brews, After-Hours Networking and ribbon-cutting events to connect members with one another throughout the year. Contact: Karen Ramola at kramola@newmarketbank.com.

Education Committee – Help Chamber members and non-member business owners operate their businesses more effectively by planning and implementing Lunch & Learn workshops featuring speakers on small business management and business operations. Contact: Kate Timmerman at khaustein3009@yahoo.com

Point of Impact Teen Driving Event – Held each spring, the Point of Impact event attracts teens and their parents for an educational presentation developed by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety to reduce teen driving accidents and fatalities. Elko New Market Police Chief Steve Mortenson leads the presentation. Contact: Dawn Weitzel at dawn@bodywerksinc.com.

Golf Tournament – Held in conjunction with the community’s Fire-Rescue Days in June, the ENM Community Golf Tournament is one of the marquis events the Chamber hosts each year. Help is needed with general event planning and logistics, marketing to both golfers and sponsors, and gathering raffle prizes and giveaways. Contact: Josh Malwitz at josh.malwitz@thrivent.com.

State of the City Address – Each fall, the Chamber welcomes City of Elko New Market officials to present on City affairs, economic development efforts and current priorities. To help coordinate logistics and marketing of the event, contact: Dawn Weitzel at dawn@bodywerksinc.com or Rick Luebbert at rick@tapestry-church.org.

Ladies Night Out – Help the Chamber host the ever-popular Ladies Night Out in December, when ladies shop, eat and drink their away around town before gathering for the prize drawings at the end of the night. The committee needs help recruiting and coordinating participating vendors, collecting items for prize drawings, and marketing to the community. Christmas Tree Lighting Festival – Help Elko New Market families kick-off the holiday season with their neighbors at the lighting of the community Christmas tree in December. Help is needed to plan and set up the event, recruit carolers, and market the event. Contact: Shari Luebbert at shari@tapestry-church.org.
