Build stronger connections with fellow Chamber members, other business people and representatives of the local government and school districts by volunteering on a Chamber committee. We are seeking volunteers to serve on the following committees:
Social – The social committee plans and hosts events that connect members with one another, as well as Ladies’ Night Out and other social activities throughout the year. Contact: (Open)
Civic/government affairs – Help with events involving elected or government officials (i.e., State of the County Address, State of the City Address, candidate forums, etc.). This committee also serves as the Chamber’s interface with the City and stays abreast of City issues and economic development matters. Contact: Rick Luebbert at Rick@tapestry-church.org.
Programming – The programming committee handles major events intended to draw members, the local community and guests to Elko New Market. Contact: Dawn Weitzel at email@example.com.
Ambassador – This committee will help build the Chamber’s membership through one-to-one outreach to business owners and new member campaigns. Contact: Gordon Deuel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Education – Help Chamber members and non-member business owners operate their businesses more effectively by planning and implementing workshops, classes, special events featuring speakers on small business management and business operations. Events may be held Independent of, and conjunction with, local community education departments. Contact: Dawn Weitzel at email@example.com.
Community Marketing – Help produce quarterly shop local fliers, and materials to market the community to new residents, realtors and local businesses recruiting prospective employees to the area. Contact: Brian Hong at firstname.lastname@example.org.
